Yes Member Billy Sherwood Adds Powerful Bass to The Sound of Dreams

Multi-instrumentalist Billy Sherwood, musician extraordinaire, has recorded a series of powerful bass lines for the album The Sound of Dreams. He will be joining Renaissance vocalist Annie Haslam and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett on the album's 11 minute multi-part title track. Billy's Yes-like bass will also grace a 10 minute track co-written by myself and Justin Hayward that features Annie Haslam on vocals. More information will be coming in the days ahead as the album's release date nears.

Annie Haslam, the Voice of Renaissance, Records The Sound of Dreams Title Track

Annie Haslam, the golden voice of pioneering progressive rock icons Renaissance has recorded lead vocals on two tracks for the upcoming symphonic rock album The Sound of Dreams. The first is a sprawling 10 minute tour de force cowritten by myself and Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues, which captures the majesty and emotion of some of the best works from The Moody Blues and Renaissance. The second track is a joint composition between Annie and myself titled The Sound of Dreams which is part of a larger suite also featuring Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett and bassist Billy Sherwood of Yes. The finish line is now in view...

Legendary Genesis Guitarist Steve Hackett Joins The Sound of Dreams Team

Earlier today I received Steve Hackett's guitar leads for a song we co-wrote together, which is part of the album's epic title track, The Sound of Dreams. Steve's guitar leads were awe inspiring, truly beautiful, magical and heart wrenching. Five of the album's nine songs are now nearly complete.

New Album, The Sound of Dreams - Coming Soon!

Despite many years of delays, my new album The Sound of Dreams is now under way. And what an album it's turning out to be! Featuring special guest appearances by Justin Hayward (The Moody Blues), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Annie Haslam (Renaissance), Billy Sherwood (Yes), and Geof O'Keefe (Pentagram), this album is living up to its name. So far I can reveal that Justin Hayward (who was finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this week) and I have co-written one of the album's tracks, a sprawling 10 minute epic which will feature Annie Haslam of Renaissance on vocals. This is the first time since 1989's The Angels Cry that Annie has recorded one of Justin's songs. There will also be an additional track co-written by Annie and myself, along with a third track co-written by Steve Hackett, who is currently in the process of recording his leads for this track.
